Orb Introduces Free Web Voice Messaging

Emeryville, CA – December 16, 2005 - Orb Networks today announced V4S, the world’s first software for free Web voice messaging,

enabling users to send voice messages to any email or Skype contact.

"Voice messaging fills the gap between real-time voice

conversations and text-based messaging solutions," said Ian McCarthy, vice president of product marketing at Orb Networks, the creators of

V4S. "Sometimes you just want to send someone a message in your own voice."

From any Web browser (or directly from the Skype

interface), V4S users can now easily create and send voice messages for free to all their friends, wherever they are. V4S voice messages can

be played back from any device with a streaming audio player, including mobile phones and PDAs.

Thanks to email and SMS alerts, users

of V4S get their friends’ voice messages delivered to them right away, wherever they are.

V4S is the latest addition to the Orb

platform, which gives users access from everywhere to their television, music, photos, and other digital content. "Orb continues to help

consumers get the most out of their digital and broadband investments," said McCarthy.

"I think this is a must-have product for most

Skype users," writes Bill Campbell in the Skype Journal.

V4S is available now for free download at
