Orb Networks Adds Ted Shelton As Executive Vice President of Operations



EMERYVILLE, Calif., February 7, 2005 - Orb Networks, Inc., a developer of streaming media software and services, today announced the appointment of Ted Shelton as executive vice president of operations. Shelton joins Orb Networks with a wealth of experience in growing and managing software and Internet businesses.

Prior to joining the company, Shelton was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Mohr, Davidow Ventures (MDV), an early stage venture capitalist firm. Before MDV, Shelton was chief strategy officer at Borland Software Corp., where he repositioned the company from a tactical software tools vendor to a strategic life-cycle development infrastructure vendor. Shelton has also held senior positions at The Dr. Spock Company, Neta4 Technologies, CMP Media, IT Solutions, Inc., and was the first outside executive recruited to WhoWhere? Inc., the eighth largest web property in the US at the time it was acquired by Lycos in 1998.
