Orb Networks and Filmclix Join Forces To Deliver Spontaneous Mobile Access to Independent Feature Films

EMERYVILLE, Calif., MARCH 7, 2005 - Orb Networks, Inc., a leading developer of streaming media software and services, and FilmClix, today announced a partnership that will enable consumers spontaneous mobile access to the FilmClix i-Theatre's comprehensive on-demand library of independent feature films from the U.S. and around the world. FilmClix is a pioneer in the migration of the independent film industry online and, through its FilmClix i-Theatre, delivers independent feature films, extreme sports, and documentaries to homes, offices, airports and dorm rooms around the globe.

Broadband entertainment has become wildly popular in recent years, yet the industry has only begun to scratch the surface of its capabilities. Through the partnership with Orb Networks, FilmClix users can digitally stream video content to any device that can connect to the Internet, such as a cell phone, PDA, or notebook. FilmClix subscribers simply open a Web browser on any mobile device, log-in, and select what they want to view from their personal library located on a PC. Orb's technology determines the best format, codec, bit rate, display capabilities, and network bandwidth available and securely streams the video content directly from the user's PC while abiding by current digital rights management solutions.

FilmClix is always searching for new and innovative ways to allow our customers access to our movie catalog, said Julia Riley O'Sullivan, founder and CEO, FilmClix, Inc. There are millions of consumers with mobile devices that will have instant access to watch our films anywhere in the world using Orb's
solution. We think this type of mobile access is a service that will be embraced
by our customers.

With today's demanding, fast-paced lifestyles it's impossible to always be at home or in front of a PC,
said James Behrens, CEO, Orb Networks. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to bring the comforts of home with you on the road? How about being able to watch your movies from a café or at the airport at anytime? Our partnership with FilmClix allows consumers to do just that. The devices and technology have arrived giving people mobile freedom to access digital home media. FilmClix
and Orb are delivering on that promise.
